About the event

We're kick starting the 2021 season with a bang! Lets make your Early May Bank Holiday one to remember tackling the epic LAKES 3000s INTO THE OUTSIDE 12hr Mountain Challenge!

There are four Lake District Mountains that rise above 3000ft whose summits include: Helvellyn (3,117ft), Skiddaw (3,054ft), Scafell (3,162ft) and Scafell Pike (3,209ft).

The Lakes 3000s is a major undertaking involving some 12,550ft of ascent and descent, 14 kilometres of walking over difficult terrain and exposure to the mountain elements for an extended period of time - it will test your mental and physical resolve but leave you with the BIGGEST sense of achievement imaginable!

The day will begin with an ascent of our first 3000ft peak - Helvellyn (3,177ft) from Thirlmere and glory in the views of Catstye cam, Swirral and Striding Edge from the summit.

It's a short drive to the foot of our second mountain - Skiddaw (3,054ft). Ascend via Latrigg, admiring the beautiful scenery of the Northern Lakes and beyond.

Now only Scafell and Scafell Pike await!

After making our way to the wild Wasdale Valley you've got your work cut out heading all the way to the top of England - Scafell (3,162ft) and Scafell Pike (3,209ft). There is no better way to end the Lakes 3000s than stood atop the highest point in all the land!
