Extreme Ghyll Scramble

The Lake District's biggest waterfall jumps, deepest pools and non-stop rapids feature in our full day Ghyll Scramble on the EPIC River Esk! Take an exhilarating 1hr+ drive over 2 mountain passes to reach the Western Lakes,  warm up with a 40 minute walk and launch into this water-filled wonderland!

At INTO THE OUTSIDE we want to fully immerse you in the wonder of the natural world. 'Ghyll' is Cumbrian for 'mountain river' and the Esk gorge is one of the finest examples! As we ascend the river against the flow you'll encounter rapids, plunge pools, waterfalls and chutes that we can play around in and set you some challenges. It's a sensory sensation as you travel through this dynamic environment on an adventure you will truly never forget!

This is a very aquatic and physcially demanding adventure, you'll require a good level of physical fitness as you will be out for a number of hours exerting yourself in the elements.

We can tell you right now that you won't be able to wipe the smile off your face for days!

INTO the OUTSIDE provide all the technical and safety equipment, you just need to bring swim stuff, trainers, a towel, 40L rucksack to carry all the equipment and a bag for wet items afterwards!

Price: £100 for the first person, £50 per additional person.
